What a strange question, says you…
I have been alive for twenty thousand and seventy days… How many sunrises have I witnessed?
I have travelled the world, and the seas, and yet, hand on heart, I could say that I have witnessed perhaps a thousand…
That’s only about five percent of available sunrises…
What have I been doing instead of watching the sun give birth to a new day on earth?
Well… Now I think about it…
Sitting in Traffic
Sitting in an office
Sleeping
Drinking Coffee
Eating Breakfast…
But the big question is, how many sunrises do I have left?
One? One hundred? Ten thousand?
One thing’s for sure, life is uncertain…but, thanks to the way our society has developed with the only focus being on ‘work’, and ‘family’, witnessing the sunrise takes last place in an industrialised world focussed on productivity and success…
Do something wonderful for yourself, witness as many sunrises as you can… all this work and business, and busyness would not be possible without the sun…
Time to reflect, and show respect.
