The internet is where the contents of the human mind become visible.
The internet was supposed to be a great thing… and indeed it was, until people started using it for social media, message boards, forums etc, where they discovered they could say anything they liked about any subject, or person without any fear of recrimination.
where they could hide behind an anonymous persona and abuse people, or criticise them, in between doing online shopping, watching movies, or booking flights, or reading the news, or more often than not, looking at hardcore pornography.
what a wonderful creation…
now we can’t live without it. Or can we?
maybe it’s time we stopped obsessively checking, looking up, chatting, sharing, buying, uploading, commenting and concentrate on finding out what it truly means to be human.
