“Why does the universe age and never die?”
We have been told that life is finite…except if you believe in the idea of heaven, whereby you can come to the end of your life, and then, if you have been good, will continue to live forever…albeit in a different state, to that which you have been used to on earth.
There is the constant idea that life is eternal in religion, but do we really believe it?
Most people have seen with their own eyes, the dead body of a loved one, the burial of said body, or creation, and they definitely do look dead don’t they? Dead being no signs of life…
So the idea that they suddenly pop up in the same form, with the same thoughts, somewhere else is all a bit far fetched, even for the religiously minded…
But, if we believe through scientific enquiry that all life is finite, i.e a beginning and an end, how do we explain this damn universe that no matter how old it gets keeps expanding?
Yes, there is evidence of birth and death of stars etc, according to the scientists, as I have no knowledge of this, but how can we explain the expanision of the universe, no matter how old it is?
The bigget question for me, is whether the ‘universe’ as opposed to stars, planets, and lifeforms on these planets, is actually alive?
That depends on what your opinion of ‘life’ actually is… Is someone who dies on earth and ascends to heaven to live in the afterlife, still alive, despite people proclaiming that they are in fact, dead?
Whatever the case, is it not time we all started to dedicate all our energies towards uncovering the origin, and nature of the universe, and who we really are instead of dedicating ourselves to aquiring more possessions, and land, and fighting over whose religion is better?
The choice is yours.
