Moving day at Inverkip marina

Today was spent trying to figure out how to move all the gear we have between 2 boats a car and a pile of stuff under a tarpaulin!

I had hoped the marina would let me keep the stuff for the boats under the tarpaulin in the yard for another week so I could finish painting and varnishing, but the manager said the MD needed it cleared by the end of the weekend ..

I just needed one more week but you have to deal with each situation as it comes up even if you feel the people aren’t being very helpful ! But people have a job to do and it’s not their problem is it?

it didn’t help that some new guy told me as I was offloading everything into the car park pre loading onto the boats that he (the manager) wouldn’t be very happy, and I retorted, ” well he can go f*** himself!) Sometimes stress gets the better of me!

he then proceeded to tell the manager what I had said causing even more problems…oops.. not like me!

eventually I cleared the car park and then realised that I have too much stuff…

In amongst all this was poor hari, who was not impressed … especially as we had the car full so couldn’t go to the supermarket to get him more treats!

Hopefully tomorrow we get to organise more, but meanwhile my entire life is blowing in the wind on the decks of alysia and malayan moon getting soaked in the incessant rain up here…

Meanwhile we are now in the elbow room of the inverkip hotel drinking beer and chatting with locals…including one guy who told me he was a football violence veteran and proud of it… listening to him I wasn’t very proud of what he had done ..

but you meet some very strange and interesting people in pubs the world over , so no judgement from me (well, just a little).

until the next time …
