How big is space?
I have frankly no idea! But I guess it is pretty big.
Our planet on the other hand, is actually very small!
Science lesson over, what’s this all about?
Well, folks, everyone seems obsessed with immigrants at the moment, with politicians promising to secure their borders…
And of course they should, we don’t want any dirty, thieving, raping, murdering migrants on our shores, do we?
We like things just as they are, with people who look like us, and conform to our way of life, and our culture, even if they themselves are dirty, thieving, raping, murderers!
If you want a history of human migration, please look at Wikipedia or some other informative website, I don’t have the knowledge to share it with you here!
Migration is a part of life of many species though, and humans are no exception, and they move because of varying factors, such as lack of food and water in the area they currently inhabit, or lack of opportunity, or to escape persecution, floods, etc…
Now migrants who are experiencing a poor life are moving from ex colonies of european powers, and people aren’t liking it very much!
“Bloody Iraqis, Bloody Africans…”
After all, when the european powers invaded their lands, they came to exploit the people and the resources, they never thought in a million years that the people would try and get to to the colonial homeland!
More fool them!
I know what I would do if I were them… exactly what they are doing!
I’d undertake a long perilous journey by land and sea, at whatever cost…
But..
What’s the point?
A bit more money?
A bit more security?
A bit more comfort?
A few more possessions?
In a place where you are not wanted and resented?
Hmmmm…..Doesn’t sound quite as good!
Ok let’s look at this a different way.
Imagine there is only one country, not a couple of hundred.
The country is called Earth.
Everyone is a citizen of the country called earth.
Black, white, jew, russian, asian, french, colombian, muslim, christian, sikh, hindu, buddhist, chinese, pakistani, rich or poor, peaceful or violent, greedy or benevolent, compassionate, or ignorant, you are now part of the country called earth!
Now there are no borders to illegally cross, but there is still division…
just because it is one country doesn’t mean you will be accepted everywhere, even though you can legally travel there.
And whilst there is division there can never be peace.
And whilst humans have a mind that creates division, judgement and hatred, no one is safe no matter where they go. Remember that.
Space on the other hand, has, a lot of space to migrate to!
Just hope that you don’t meet anyone not like you, or they might have murder in mind! Until humans transcend their history, their conditioning, and maybe even biology, I’m afraid ladies and gentlemen that they are destined to repeat everything they did on earth elsewhere in space….
